  • 12 different types of robots: 12 different building robots which can move on land or water for your child to build. There are two levels as to complexity, starting from entry-level for a younger child to advanced level for an older child to challenge their manipulative skills. This is a great way for your child to get started in robotics toys.
  • No batteries needed: Powered by the sun, no batteries needed. The robot kit includes a solar power panel that collects solar heat energy into an electric energy drive motor, which drives the gears to make the machine run smoothly. It offers your child practical experiences of working with green technology, letting them learn about renewable energy sources, and having fun at the same time.
  • Support STEM education: These science toys will teach children how to engineer a robot that uses solar power while helping to develop manual dexterity, problem-solving skills, improve logical thinking, self-confidence and promotes the importance of teamwork and collaboration. It is also a perfect toy to encourage learning of mechanics and engineering in young children, enhance your children's Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math skills.

Stem Toy Sparks Analytical Creativity!

This solar robot toy is fantastic! My grandson can assemble this robot kit into 12 different styles of robots who can move on land or water. The instructions are very clear but still challenging enough to foster critical thinking and creativity. The child can build robots rated as level 1 and then advance to the level configurations. My grandson is not finished building a robot yet, but it keeps him occupied for hours. For the price, this is a great buy.

Quarantine Schooling Can't Get Better

We took a break from some of my son's regular homeschooling during quarantine, to work on this project together. We spent the whole day blissfully unaware of time passing, and just enjoying how fun this little robot was to assemble in different ways, charge him up and watch him go. It wasn't as complicated a build as our major programmable robot builds, but the parts stayed together better on this guy and didn't cause stress and frustration to my 10 year old with ADHD. It was just solid fun. The next few days, he found even more ways to assemble him than even the box suggestions, and figured out how to make him push little things around the room, like a ball to our dog. THAT was hilarious! Our dog didn't know WHAT to make of that idea! LOL! It had all the parts and they all worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a beginner robot fun project to spend an afternoon on.

Fun to build with 6-year-old. Great customer service.

My son and I had a great morning building with this set. He was thrilled with the outcome, and excited to see his own creation powered by the sun. It requires direct sunlight to generate sufficient power to move, so a AA batter can stand in for a "trial" if it is cloudy or nighttime. The parts do take a bit of effort to clip apart so a good pair of cutters and a nail file are required. From a service perspective, I inquired with Sillbird whether they have replacement parts when a piece was slightly damaged. Within 24 hours, they offered to send me a whole new kit at no cost. It was well beyond what I asked for or expected. Very nice.

Provides hours and hours of play!

I purchased this as a gift for an 8-year old boy. He loves to build, loves robotics, dinosaurs, and Godzilla. :) He LOVES this set! He sits for hours on end, which is an amazing accomplishment for any 8-year old, playing with and building all the different robot toys. And this isn't just for 8-10 year old little boys. A friends 8-year old daughter loves them, the 48-year old day loves them, and the 75-year old grandpa loves them. Fun for the whole family!

Great hands-on activity toy

This solar robot toy is great. It makes for a great hands-on activity to support the STEM Education. It really keeps my little one’s attention. The instruction tells you different ways to build up you robot, but it is a little bit difficult for my little one to understand it, so I helped him to figure out it. Everything else is good!
