I don’t understand the bad reviews. For my 3.5 year boy who loves to build this toy has been awesome. I tempted to buy another set for him. Also, I would not get for a child smaller than 3.5 years old. They have to be past the age where they put things in their mouths. I say this bxc of the screw like toy that comes with this set. Other than that, if your kid likes anything LEGO then they will like this one too. ✌Edit - hmm so a month into our fun two of the longer pieces broke in half. Still usable bxc they are now four small pieces that can be used to build. Even with that I still like this toy and would buy another when my child gets older. For now he is not using and building at this toy’s fullest potential so waiting to buy our second set.
Best building toy ever! We construct all types of vehicles and creatures for and with our three year old. (He uses the provided tools to tighten the nuts and bolts in place while we hold the parts and encourage "righty-tighty, lefty-loosey.") His cousin can build with it independently (she's almost 6).We laminated the example sheet with clear adhesive shelf paper making the paper almost as durable as the colorful building pieces.Have already purchased more sets for other kids. Thank you, Nancy H.
The diagrams are easy to follow and pieces are perfect size for his little hands. I bought these for my 4 year old great grandson. He was intrigued by the diagrams, colors, pieces and tools. He literally played with it for hours building most of the items listed. Looking forward to purchasing the bigger set.
This toy is very fun. My son hasn't yet learned how to screw in nuts and bolts, but he's very interested in attaching wheels to the blocks. There are so many things that you can build using these construction blocks. I love it!I had received some defective parts, so I contacted the seller. He then sent me a few extra parts in the mail very quickly, which was very helpful. Thank you! It's an excellent toy that will help my child improve his fine motor skills. It comes with a reference guide on some things you can build using these blocks, but you can definitely build more and it's very enjoyable to play with.
Bought as a gift for my 4 year old. He loves them! They are thicker plastic and easy to use.My box like others was cracked and will not hold up for long. If the box was a thicker plastic it would be perfect as my son loves to carry it around. The set comes with a lot of bright colors and is very fun. It uses nuts and screw bolts to hold together the other pieces. My son likes to make cars and engines with them. He loves the "instruction" booklet (which is more like pictures where you have to guess how to make it, but it is so easy to figure out that it doesn't bother my son). He loves the many ideas the instructions hold. He loves that it comes with screwdrivers but its easy enough to use your hands to tighten or loosen them. This was a good stem buy. It practices hand eye coordination and the instructions challenge his mind to be problem solving. I do wish it had just a few more pieces because unassembled in the box it doesn't seem too impressive and takes up no space. My 10 and 7 year old also love it.
